This concludes the brief and somewhat enlightening tour of my humble Web-Abode. As with all Web pages in their foetal state, this one is still under construction. Please do drop by again -- hopefully I will have more to report, more to offer as far as content.

Welcome to the Web-Abode of Bart A. Marchand

Bart A. MarchandAh! You've discovered my home in the digital ether. Well met!

I must confess that I am something of an Internet neophyte, having begun my modest Web experience in 1997. And, between work and school (I'm finishing my accreditation to become a mathematics teacher), I've little time to plumb the depths of cyberspace. So, alas, I know I must be missing out on some pretty neat stuff. Oh well.

I have been attending San Diego State University since 1995 and am now beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. The true adventure is soon to begin!

When I'm not working, studying, or playing tennis, I'm writing. Hopefully soon, I'll be writing more frequently. Time unfortunately carries a heavy premium. I mostly write "dark fantasy" -- although I am not immune to a story with a happy ending.

I have one completed fantasy novel, Sleuths of Sorcery (written with Anne Hutchins). As expected of the harsh state of publishing, the novel is yet unpublished. The manuscript has now ended its sojourn to find a publisher after having made a final voyage to Baen Books. Alas, after having lain in a slush pile of no doubt leviathan proportions for four months, we received only a form rejection letter. An unfortunate return on ten bucks postage, a ream of paper and a black inkjet cartridge. And so it goes...
