You know, with all the craziness going on in the world (especially
stateside; thanks, Cheney/Bush), I should have plenty to write
about. Unfortunately, it's all too much for me right now. I'd
be spewing for months and would never get around to earning a
living...designing
and building websites, just so you know. Just read Man
About Murfreesboro instead -- Mike says it all for me.
So,
I'm taking an extended hiatus from journalling. I'm toying with
the idea of a weblog, though. If so, it'll be on another server
(no more dratted Tripod pop-ups).
A
Quick (Fair and Balanced) Recap, as of 9/1/03:
*I'm
continuing to enjoy MacMerlin (he will reach his first year anniversary
on 9/23/03; only ONE crash so far...cuz OS X rocks!). The little
guy now has all the necessary apps (except Office) and has been
busily paying for himself.
*On
the PC side of things: I was forced to upgrade to a Pentium 4
2GHz sooner than I'd planned after the motherboard for my PIII 500 died and a
replacement was nowhere (quickly) to be found. New motherboard,
new RAM (DDR SDRAM), new processor... Now, I'll have to upgrade
my OS soon. Win98 is a bit long in the tooth, but I'm not looking
forward to wiping my hard drive clean for XP Professional, then
spending three or four days installing software. Not fun.
*I
haven't touched Mind Diver in...um...months. But I will.
Soon. I'm bad and I really haven't any valid excuses, only lameass
ones.
*I've
been able to secure enough freelance web and graphic design work
to actually pay my bills this year. I'm hoping for better things
next year...like Howard
Dean winning the White House.
